Robert Braithwaite, CBE, to open Sunseeker stand at PIMEX 2012

Sunseeker Thailand is proud and honoured to announce the attendance of Robert Braithwaite, CBE, the Founder and President of Sunseeker, at PIMEX 2012 to be held at Royal Phuket Marina at the end of March.

Robert will officially launch the new Sunseeker models making their debuts in Asia, as Sunseeker Thailand show the Manhattan 53, 63 and 73 Flybridge Yachts.

From humble beginnings in the marine industry over 50 years ago, Robert started up as a boat salesman, selling boats produced in the USA for a UK family business; Poole Power Boats. When the American boat builder decided to no longer run an operation in England, Robert raised some cash and decided to go it alone.......the rest as they say is history!

Today, Sunseeker build some of the most luxurious semi-custom yachts in the world. These are vessels with a global fan base; craft known for their effortless combination of heart-pounding performance and jaw-dropping beauty.

A perfect example of this can already be seen here in Phuket in the largest Sunseeker built to date, the majestic 40 metre Yacht. Palatial in scale, the 25- knot, 40 metre yacht presents ultra-spacious accommodation for up to 12 guests with clever layouts that allow the crew of 9 to move discreetly about the boat. There is an extraordinarily wide choice of cabin configurations, and options include the newly introduced, automated balconies to the forward master suite and main deck.

Sunseeker boats have also featured in the James Bond film series since 1999. The relationship began with The World Is Not Enough, famously chasing up the Thames in the pre-credits sequence, and continued through Die Another Day, Casino Royale and the most recent film, Quantum of Solace.

This latest outing showed Sunseeker's 37m Yacht and the Superhawk 43; it also featured a cameo role for Robert Braithwaite, in one of Sunseeker's very first open-cockpit speedboats, the Sovereign 17.

Under the exceptional leadership of Robert Braithwaite CBE, the firm looks to the next decade with order books full and an export market that spans the globe.
